Your New Year’s Day Celebrations take place in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar on 1 January. Guaranteed to be one of the highlights for the festival – visitors, families and friends of all ages are invited to kick start 2023 in style. Come celebrate and enjoy an afternoon of live music in Temple Bar, the cultural heart of Dublin, as some of Ireland’s great live performers will take to the stage including Hothouse Flowers frontman Liam Ó Maonlaí, award winning concertina player Cormac Begley, fiddler x bilingual singer Clare Sands and folk singer Lorraine Nash. Be wowed by The Pride Of Plains Marching Band, street performances and tie your New Year’s Resolutions to the special Resolution Tree.

Brighter Futures Midnight Moment – Matinee

Families and friends of all ages can count down to the New Year together at Brighter Futures Midnight Moment – Matinee, a very special earlier countdown event for the little ones. Entertainment for this event will start at 4pm and will be headlined by Gavin James, Lyra & Brad Heidi leading to the earlier countdown spectacle at 7pm – expect a carnival atmosphere filled with awe and wonder.
